Shoes

For Spring,
My wonderful mother and I loaded up on shoes.
One day we were walking in the mall and we stopped by this store called Traffic.
Cutest shoes. Ever.
So much variety.
They've got gladiators, booties, slouchy boots, sneakers, flats, heels, you name it.
And they're all pretty unique and the best part is...
They're all quite inexpensive.
I bought three pairs of shoes there for $75 I think.
All super cute.
Also headed to Joyce Leslie, good finds there.
And of course, online shoe shopping.

Here's my favorite pair.
I've worn them a couple of times so now they're slouchy but whatever.
It's like a pale denim material with insane hardware detail.
And the back has a zipper so you don't have to spend ten minutes buckling your shoes.
I think these were either $20 or $25, not too sure though.

Detail

Here is the second pair, bought at Joyce Leslie.
This was only $16 I think.
Again it's a zippered up gladiator and it's made up of this bronze snake skin like material.
The soles are quite comfy as well.
Both of these two pairs of shoes are Classified shoes

Now these shoes are HOT.
They're a metallic silver with wrap around detail (kinda like the shoes I draw on most of my sketches).
They're about four inches in height.
the heels like super skinny, but they're so easy and comfortable to walk in.
I could actually walk around my house in these without tripping, which is a first.
And the bottom of the shoes are lime green!
Kinda like the whole red Christian Louboutin shoe sole.
I have no clue how much these were, but they were quite inexpensive.

Haul?

Recently,
I watched a couple of haul videos on youtube.
What exactly is a "haul" video?
It's a simple video that the user makes to show what they got at a store, usually of clothes and/or makeup.
It usually is around 10 minutes or so and has a lot of products to show.
Every single time I watch one of these videos, I wonder how much money that person has and why they spend it all on clothes and make up.
America is in a recession right now, and all you can think about it clothes and make up?
I'm not hating on the girls (and/or guys?) that do these haul videos, because yeah they're fun to watch, but I just get so bored watching some say "Oh I got this at this and place and I got this..." and etc.
My favorite person who does these haul videos is DulceCandy87.
Yeah her videos show that she bought a bunch of clothes and her closet is like a mall, but
she actually explains how to wear the clothes and when to use them, which I love.
But this one girl, oh my goodness.
She was about 13 maybe?
She was doing a haul video of what she got on her birthday and what she bought with her birthday money,
RIDICULOUS.
This chick got like, a whole bunch of high quality make up like Chanel, MAC, and Sephora,
along with a bunch of brand name expensive stuff like Juicy Couture and Burberry.
She was just whipping out all of these brushes and eye shadows and lip liner.
LIP LINER?
This chick's 13!
She shouldn't even have that much make up!
Anywho, this girl just kept going on about her swatches and make up.
Seriously if you're going to make a haul video, tell us why you got those stuff.
'Nuff Said.

Chris Christie?

So I walk into school,
and immediately all I hear is
"Did you hear about the teacher cuts?"
"They're cutting art programs next year!"
Me: "Whaaaa?"
I'm thinking to myself, cuts? School cuts?
I didn't know much about it and then 6 hours go by and I walk into history class.
My teacher just happens to be ten minutes late, and then our class goes into this whole discussion about the cuts.
I actually listen to my teacher on this.
she was saying stuff about the NJ Herald's article about Governor Chris Christie cutting EDUCATIONAL programs to try and stop our debt from growing.
Alright, I understand that we're in a lot of debt as of now,
but to take away the education being given to young childrens minds?!
When I heard budget cuts, I immediately thought of the Art and Music programs.
The Art and Music programs have always been looked down upon because they supposedly "won't get you anywhere in life".
Well guess what?
The Arts are pretty much the foundation of EVERYTHING.
All of the layouts you see in newspapers, the actual newpapers, the desks, THOSE ARE ALL ART!
Anyway, more programs that could be cut are Sports and Clubs.
Okay America, if you're complaining about obesity, why cut the Sports?
And for clubs, clubs are a place for people to meet new people and find out who you really are.
Plus, without Sports or Clubs or Art or Music,
what are colleges going to look for in college resumes?
So and so is a straight A student and doesn't have any co-corricular activities?
Come on!
Honestly, if you're gonna cut Clubs, you might as well cut the clubs in the lower grade schools because most colleges look for what you did in High School, rather than what you did in Middle School.
And as for teachers,
I guess its the same as being laid off from an office like job.
But most of the teachers in the school to be honest, suck.
Most of them have been teaching for less than 4 years or so.
Most of the teachers look like students too.
Not good.
But those teachers have families as well.
So Governor Christie,
Why did you choose education?
America's education is the reason why most people come to America.
Now you're trying to take it away?
How 'bout you let us keep our education and go cut off something else like letting ourselves pump our own gas?
I honestly think that it's ridiculous that someone is being paid to pump our own gas, where we can do it ourselves.
There's probably more stuff to cut too but if you're going to make cuts,
don't make them so drastic at once.
You've got so many people mad at you because of the things we've heard.
You could at least explain to us youth why you're doing this.
'Nuff Said.

Young Love

Young~[yuhng]adj- being in the first or early stage of life or growth.
Love~[luhv]n-a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

One Boy.
He likes her.
He wants her.
One Girl.
She likes him.
She wants him.
Both are too afraid to admit it.
They have no idea.
He sees her in the hallway.
He stares at her, trying to figure out who she really is.
Is she the one? He thinks.
She tries not to stare.
She tries to hide away.
She's afraid that he doesn't like her back.
As they sit together in the classroom,
You can only hear the heart's palpitating of
Two.
Young.
Hearts.
His thoughts escape his mind,
and travel to his mouth.
You're beautiful. You're amazing. I wish you were mine.
She listens intently.
His voice traveling to her mind.
Her heart beats even faster.
Can this all be really true?
For weeks,
he gives her his thoughts.
For months,
she gives him her love.
The year is slowly ending,
time is fading away.
He dreams of asking her a question,
the very next day.
He kneels to the ground and asks her a question.
She says yes with overwhelming emotion.

With a smile on his face,
and a blush on hers,
A bow tie on his neck,
and a ring on her finger,
 Young Love Exists.

The Boxing Pride of the Philippines

MANNY "PACMAN" PACQUIAO!

Congrats to him and his victory against Joshua Clottey.
Psh that fight was nothing!
All Clottey did was block punches.
Manny threw 1231 punches (I think) and Clottey threw like around 400 total.
Seriously, Manny, why didn't you knock him out?!
I'm just waiting for Mayweather to stop being so scared of Manny.
He seriously needs to suck it up and fight him.
Nuff' Said.

How To Do Stuff? Part One- Need to Get Rid of a Cyber Creeper?

My first part in my little series "How To Do Stuff?"
So like every other ffteen year-old girl in America, I have a Facebook.
What's Facebook you may ask?
Facebook is a social networking site where people can keep in touch with famliy, co-workers, friends, etc.
It's also the number one site for all of those narcissistic people to upload two hundred pitures of themselves a day!
Anywho, because Facebook lets you get in touch with anyone that has one, anybody can add you.
So one day, I'm on Facebook, and I notice that I have a friend request.
I read the name and I recognized that it was an old friend of mine from elementary school that moved away.
So I accepted the request.
Moments later, I heard the chat "ping" sound.
It's from my little elementary friend.
Let's call him Joe.
Joe says hi, asks how I'm doing, and all of that kind of stuff.
So I be friendly and answer all of the questions, tell him about Jersey.
Then the convo dies down and I log off.
For the next two weeks, I hear the chat "ping" noise again and again.
Guess what? It's from the SAME person.
This time, he tries talking to me via espanol.
I maybe bilingual, but I do not fluently speak Spanish.
I tell him that, and instead of not talking in Spanish, he talks in Spanish WITH translations.
I told him that I don't take Spanish, so I tell him I take Russian.
Now he wants to learn Russian.
So the next time he chatted me, I just ignored it and acted like I didnt hear the "ping" noise.
This is KEY to getting rid of the creeper.
I mean, I don't want to be mean and I'm a genuinely nice person but,
I.CANNOT.STAND.CREEPERS.
I don't like the idea of someone constantly chatting with me whom I don't really know and don't really talk to.
I also don't like people getting into my life, asking about EVERYTHING, when I don't talk to them.
Because boy, if I tell you about my personal life, I have a lot of trust in you.
So anyway, in order to get rid of a creeper,
be polite,
be kind,
play dumb,
and don't get so into the conversation.
'Nuff Said.

82nd

OSCARS!
So on Sunday the Oscars were on and I was chattin it up with my buddy Jake.
Here are some of the dresses that I will ALWAYS remember:

Anna Kendrick

OMIGAH.
This dress is the definition of pulchritude.
The color looked amazing on her skin and her contrasting luscious chocolatey brown hair.
The draping was in the right places, the detailin of the lace, the little rosettes...
The only thing that really bothered me though was the shoes.
The chunkiness of the platforms kind of took away the elegance of the dress.
This dress was designed by Elie Saab.
I'm in love with this dress.
I would kill for this.

Miley Cyrus

Ew.
She looks like a 35-year-old woman.
No, not because of her dress, but because of her hair, makeup, and dress together into one ensemble.
The dress is beautiful, it's stunning.
But her posture is TERIBBLE!
If her hair was put into a sweet little messy chignon and her posture was better,
she could've looked amazing.
When she was presenting the award with Amanda Seyfried, she was like a giant compared to poor little Amanda.

Carey Mulligan

Work it.
The detailing on this dress is so intricate.
I saw a close up of it, and the detailing is actually kitchen utensils.
Sick right?
The black on her pale skin makes it even better, along with her cute little pixie cut.
Aw, Carey looks so sweet and innocent in this picture.

Zoe Saldana

*calms down*
Zoe Saldana, you are beautiful, you look beautiful in everything, but
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
You look like you're carrying around a pack of purple poodles! (Alliteration!)
If you had opted to take the poodles off of the dress and keep the purple ombre, it would've been amazing man!
I was so disapointed in this dress. Way too much detail going on here.

Penelope Cruz

Stellar.
The color looks amazing on her skin.
Hehe, it also looks good with the Red Carpet.
The detailing of the dress perfectly accentuates her figure.
It's nice seeing a dress that isn't flashy, or garish.
It's quite simple, and simplicity is beautiful.
The top part of the dress kind over powers her though.

What a

B-E-A-YOU-TIFUL day today!
The sun is shining,
the birds are chirping,
it's the beginning of March.
All we need now is some green grass and leaves and then we'll have Spring!
I wish everyday was like this.
Blue sky, mild temperature.
Today is just way too pretty to capture the amazing sky.
Plus there isn't much color besides brown white and blue.
Oh well.

Justin Beiber Rant Numero Tres

Alrighty, Here We Go.
So Justin has another hit titled, Baby.
The video starts off with Justin singing and the camera revolving around him at a bowling alley.
He walks into the bowling alley with some other guys.
Beiber spots some chicks bowling.
So to show off, the guys and girls kind of challenge each other to bowling.
And during this bowling challenge, Beiber is singing his song.
It seems like he's trying to pull off the "sexy squinty eye" look because when he's singing, it looks like he can't see or anything, kinda like when you're Grandma is trying to tell who you are when you visit her.
Anywho, Justin walks over to the girl's lane, and literally grabs the chick by her jacket closer into him.
That's attractive.
Trying to show your manly side,eh?
Oh, but the chick pushes him back.
Rejected.
Beiber tries talking to this chick.
He seriously wants to talk to her, but everytime, he's trying to get in her face and close to her.
Dude, you just met this chick at a bowling alley, you're not gunna get some.
And again, when he tries to get this girl's attention, he has to physically like, touch her.
Ever hear of just going up to her and say "Hi", not "Hey I wanna talk to you so I'm gonna try and be sexy by pulling you into me."
Also, during this vid, Beiber has a little solo backdrop kind of thing,
and in this backdrop, he's "dancing".
There's a three second clip of moon walking, pelvis thrusting, tutting, and hanging onto Ludacris.
There's also this part where he tries to do this wave thing with his hands, but by the look on his face, he looks like he has no clue what he just did.
Then there's a dance-off between the guys and girls.
Justin dances, but he isn't a natural born dancer.
When he dances, it's choppy and no flow.
And during the entire song, he's singing about his "baby" and how he knows she loves him.
And once again, like in every Justin Beiber music video, Justin ends up with the girl in his face, they're so close, but not actually kissing. Again.
'Nuff Said.

Happy March!

Happy March to the very few of you that actually read this!
Well today was actually pretty warm outside so I guess that's a sign?
Here's a list of my complaints right now:
-I'm sick of snow
I have a long driveway in which I must shovel and boy, that blizzard we had a couple of days ago gave me muscle in my arm and strained my back

-I'm sick of wearing leggings and dresses all the time
I want some variety man. I mean, I wear skinnies too, but they aren't as comfy as leggings

-I want to wear gladiators and skirts
I just feel so free wearing them, plus I got some new gladiators from Traffic for only like $25? and they're mad cute. Plus, Target had some pretty nifty skirts the other day.

-I'm sick of the cold
I need some sunshine to warm up my life

-I need to hit up Forever21
I have to prepare for spring!

-I'm sick of school
It's just so...boring

Anyway, on the last four posts on here, the pictures are courtesy of style.com
I thank whomever made style.com and took the time to upload those pictures.

fall 2010-Vivienne Tam

Vivienne Tam
Absolutely GORGEOUS (I tend to use that word a lot). The very first dress, is probably my favorite dress ever. The ombre effect along with the architectural shape of the dress is beautiful. Another dress that caught my eye was the one with the vest above. I love the outfit. I would totally buy that vest and place all of my stuff in it. No more need for purses! Also in this collection were a lot of different patterned tights. They weren't lace ones, they were like tiger stripes or something. They look a lot better than the lace ones though.
-Nikki

Fall 2010-Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson

Brit designer known for using color and metallics. His collections truly demonstrates that. The construction on these dresses are quite beautiful. But I kinda felt that this collection wasn't cohesive. You have this gorgeous print, and then it goes to this solid bright blue, then to a bunch of metallics. But the dresses were very pretty. The largest picture is a gorgeous dress. The color, the construction, the concept (alliteration!), are brilliant. The one sleeve has amazing detail and the fabric has amazing shine/glitter?.
Job well done.
-Nikki

Fall 2010-Herve Leger by Max Azria

Herve Leger by Max Azria

A very, very well constructed collection. I love the amount of detail put into the dresses. The first bondage like dress has an amazing color. But I really like the geometric net shape ad the ruffles. The last dress with the one sleeve is gorgeous. the colors are also pretty too. The greyish purple? ones and the pink ones. A very nice collection indeed
