On Thursday,
I left my town at 3 in the morning to go on a 13 hour trip to Chicago to visit my extended family and be a junior bridesmaid in a wedding.
I slpet most of the way and it didn't seem that long.
When I got there, we met up with some relatives and partied it up.
We met our secondcousins who we haven't seen in almost 10 years and my brother looked exactly like our second cousin (except that my cousin was a bit taller and had some dyed hair).
We also met some friends of my cousins and other people in the bridal party.
We took a gazillion pictures which are all now on facebook.Thge
The next day, my family went shopping at this huge mall and I finally spent my forever21 gift card from my birthday.
I bought a ring, a necklace, a beanie, a hello kitty key cap, and my mom a bracelet.
I was dissapointed with the forever21stores in Chicago though. The selections weren't as big as the ones we have here in New Jersey.
that night it was the rehearsal dinner and I met my partner.
He was okay looking, not hot, but not ugly, but he was uber quiet! I don't think I ever heard him say a single word. He was supposedly this 19 year old genius who perfected his ACT.
And his sister (another junior bridesmaid) didn't say a word either! Except for yes and no.
I understand shyness, and not knowing anybody, but a little hey howzit going doesn't hurt.
The next day which was Saturday was the wedding.
I got up around 7 do to my own hair and makeup, which saved a lot more money than having someone else do it. I put on my four inch uber high silver heels and walked around in them for a couple of hours.
My legs hurt so much and they're still sore as I'm writing this.
The wedding was just likea normal wedding, but the reception, now that's where the party's at.
Filipinos always give huge parties with a lot of food.
So we ate and then we danced and we partied all night long.
We saw this guy break dancing and dancing real good, and we were like, dayyumm.
The party ended and we all went home.
We were orginally going to leave the next day, but we stayed on Sunday to go downtown Chicago and to another party.
I didn't want to go downtown at all because thatmeant walking, and from the night before, I could barely walk.
All we did was walk around and look at some stores and people watch for 2 hours.
Thn we went back to the hotel and got ready for the party.
We drove up to someone house and us kids started hanging with each other and plauing cards.
Eventually, it was just us high school kids which was like 4 of us, sitting in the basement talking about random stuff.
We talked about college and scary dreams and indians haha.
Remember the break dancing guy where I was like dayumm?
Apparently, his town is a 45 minute drive from where I live which is uber weird.
He was really funny and quite a gentleman, but my cousin wanted him so none of that for me :D haha.
We tried contacting spirits in the basement, but it wouldn't work because the house was brand new.
but when we were contacting spirits, this random kid who know one knew came downstairs and started playing with this ball and talking to himself in front of a wall (it rhymes!) and he was really pale for a Filipino and he didnt have eyebrows so we were freaking out and he would follow us everywhere.
My family had to leave early (11 o clock) because we had to travel home the next day.
We all said our goodbyes and gave our hugs and kisses and formed our huge circle where we chanted jumped around.
I broke my ring in that circle, but that's ok it was cheap anyway.
We left and went back to the hotel.
And then we left on our way back home for 13 hours.
I hhad so much fun this weekend and imma miss all of my cousins and friends there.
